Scott Christopher White

Scott Christopher White, 42, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, September 11, 2023. 

 

He was born on December 25, 1980, in Wilmington General Hospital, his parents favorite Christmas gift, the third of four children.

 

Scott graduated from Howard High School of Technology in 1999 where he played varsity football and baseball.  He was a former volunteer firefighter in his younger years. He was employed by IKEA, in Perryville, MD for 20 years and held a CDL.  Scott enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, amature wrestling, LEGO building, and was a lifetime collector of Hess trucks.

 

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Lynn White of Rising Sun, MD.

 

He is also survived by his parents Ron White, Sr. and Cathy White of Wilmington, DE; brother, Ron White, Jr. of OH; sister, Kerry White of Wilmington, DE; nephews Nathan, Jacob and Shawn; niece, Jocelyn and in-laws Sammy and Kathy Pitt Smith of Rising Sun, MD.

 

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents Willie and Maebell White, Robert and MaryAnn Strawbridge, and sister Wendy White.  

 

A Celebration of life for Scott will be held at The American Legion Post 194, located at 338 East Main Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 12 pm. Guests are invited to join the family for lunch following the Celebration.
