Melissa Leeann Coffin Fleming, of Bunnell, FL, passed away on February 12th, 2025. She was
born on February 19 th , 1965, to the late Norman Coffin and Dorothy Loller. Melissa entered this world fighting and left it the same way—strong, determined, and full of love.

 

Melissa was fiercely protective, free-spirited, and lived life on her own terms. She was an
extraordinary friend, something that became most evident in her final year of life. With a heart
as wild as the open road she loved to travel, she found peace in the sunshine, the beach, and
the thrill of riding her motorcycle. She had a deep love for horses and the simple joys of life,
embracing adventure at every turn.

Melissa’s warmth and strength were felt most deeply by her family and friends. She is survived
by her daughter, Brittany Fleming (David Mitchell); her three beloved granddaughters, Emily
Fleming-Spzyrka, Jillian Mitchell, and Norah Mitchell; and her stepsons, Josh Heald and Bo
Heald. Her sister Michelle Hardiman (James Hardiman); and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Norman Coffin and Kevin Coffin, whom she now joins in peace.

Melissa made an impact wherever she went, leaving behind memories of love, laughter, and
unwavering loyalty. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A private cremation was held. A celebration of Melissa’s life will take place this spring, with
details to be shared by her family at a later date.
