Jean Elaine Keplinger, 73, of Elkton, MD, was born in Mechanicsburg , PA on January 27, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Betty Keplinger. Jeannie went to be with our lord and savior on Tuesday February 18th, 2025.

Jeannie was retired from Chrysler Assembly plant , and Mopar PDC. She grew up in Newark , DE and eventually moved to Elkton, MD. She was kind hearted , courageous , and worked hard at everything she did. She loved being surrounded by her family. She loved in such a forgiving capacity without any expectations in return, and always saw the good in people. 

 

Her favorite past times were sitting on Captiva Island, whale watching with her sons binoculars. She also loved taking road trips and one of her favorite passions was tile work. 

 

She is survived by her granddaughters Kaitlyn Keplinger - Brown (Matt) , and Emily Hardy of Elkton, MD. Sisters Sharon Flohr (Doug), of Newark , DE ,Dawn Poore (George) of Streetsboro ,OH , Patricia Chambers (Rich) of Middletown, DE , Brother Fred Keplinger JR (Kathy), of Ocala , FL , and many nieces and nephews. 

 

She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Betty Keplinger, Son Michael Keplinger, Brother James Keplinger , and Grandson Zackary Peirson. 

 

A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Bible Church 144 Appleton Rd Elkton, MD, on Monday February 24, 2025 at 6:00 pm to celebrate Jeannie’s life, immediately followed by a time of fellowship with Jeannie’s family and friends. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Special Thank you to all the Nurses on 6E Cancer Wing at Christiana Hospital. Thank you to Amedisys Hospice of Elkton , MD. 

 

Interment will be Kline Cementary Franklin West Virginia .
