James Leo Wilson
"Jim"
November 12, 1950– June 26, 2024
James “Jim” Leo Wilson, of Perryville, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday June 26th, 2024. He was born in Frankfort Indiana on November 12th, 1950, to Walter Leo and Rebecca Francis Wilson (Sheets) and graduated at Frankfort Senior High School in 1969.
Jim was a man of many talents and hobbies including lead singing in many bands, playing guitar, and writing music. An incredible painter. And spending quality time with his family and friends. Especially being “pop” to his grandchildren and “GG pop” to his great grands.
He will be remembered for all the heart that he shared with friends, family, and even strangers. He will also be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. Even at the end he found a way to laugh and smile. He was passionate, empathetic, generous, strong, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge from life experiences. Jim was a beautiful person inside and out. His smile lit up the room. He cared so deeply for the people around him and he will forever be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Rebecca. And his brother in law, Melvin Reed. Survived by his loving daughter, Michele Wilson; grandchildren, Anastasia Larrabee, Troy Larrabee, Savannah Bane; great-grandchildren, Nico, Cylus, Serean, Reagan, Kennedy, and Gracie; siblings, Shirley Ann Hanna Reed, Jerry Melvin Hanna, Larry Richard Sellers, and Gary Dean Sellers and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private cremation was held. A memorial service honoring Jim’s life will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
