Carol Page Mullen

January 31, 1933– May 23, 2024

Carol P. Mullen, whose life was a testament to compassion, humility, and generosity, passed away peacefully at her home on May 23, 2024. Born in Sun, West Virginia, on January 31, 1933, Carol was the cherished "baby" of the family.

She graduated high school at age 16, embarking on a career at DuPont and then Thiokol before becoming a full-time homemaker and devoted mother to her beloved son, Tony. Although small in stature, Carol's heart was as vast as the Appalachian mountains. Her kindness extended to all beings, whether human or animal, ensuring none went hungry. Through numerous charities and non- profits, she fervently supported causes close to her heart, notably the Learning Disabilities Association. Carol's influence transcended her physical presence, her life a beautiful landscape of kindness. Her home radiated warmth and hospitality, where friends, family, and even strangers were always welcomed in to enjoy a warm meal and genuine conversation. A lover of literature and Scrabble, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, sharing that joy generously with those around her.

Carol is survived by her loving son, Anthony Mullen, Jr., of Elkton, MD, and a wide circle of cherished nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She rejoins her husband of 40 years, Anthony Mullen, Sr., as well as parents, siblings, and other loved ones who preceded her in death. In addition to her family, Carol was blessed with devoted caregivers whose care and companionship brightened her later years. A heartfelt thank you extends to her best friend, Mary Curlett, caregivers Robbin Borkoski, Sheri Jones, Kim Baranowski, Beth Brewer, Jacqueline Bolte, Kim McKeown, and her late niece, Loretta Karmes-Carroll.

In honoring Carol's memory, her family kindly requests donations to Cecil County Animal Services, a cause dear to her heart. Contributions can be made at
